I didn’t read the most recent reviews so also missed the fact that it’s a pocket sized book. Even though it’s small it’s still very comprehensive and readable. The colors are vivid and help understand anatomy. I’m keeping it as it’s a simple yet easily readable. Seems great for basic/initial understanding of human Anatomy.
Interesting to brush up on human anatomy and physiology!! I teach A&P at college level and find most pages to be quite accurate. Some students have bought it to brush up / get an overview of body systems during their semester.
Neat little book. It is like pocket size. My daughter is very interested in the human body so I got this to answer her questions about anything and everything about the human body! There are a few chapters in the back about things such as infertility and other "things that can go wrong" (the chapter is called something like that) that I don't show her, but other than that this is a great little educational book. And wins me mom points when I can tell her exactly what the red blood cells do AND can show her a picture!
Am I the only person surprised at how SMALL this book is?? Ok, I see now that the dimensions are listed under the Product Details. Admittedly I didn't look there. I glanced and saw that it was 448 pages and read the leading description, and EVERY OTHER BOOK of this nature that my son has ever checked out from the library has been a large, coffee table sized book. I was disappointed to receive something barely larger than a pocket book. I take full responsibility since it is in fact detailed online, however if this is an unusual size for this type of book, which it seems to be to me, I think it would be nice to mention that somewhere near the beginning of the description. It is still full of lots of great info and illustrations so I'll probably keep it for him, but I will need to get a second larger book to make this the Christmas present I intended it to be for my anatomy-obsessed 5 year old. :)

Not bad. Book is smaller than expected, and their was "gunk" on the inside page.
This was the textbook for my biology 103 class, I liked the book so much that I bought it after returning my rental. Great illustrations and explanations for literally every function of the human body. Absolutely amazing and concise info that would be extremely hard to collect online.
Bought this for my 6 year old son, I was actually expecting something smaller, containing less information, but I'm not complaining. It's got it all in there and he's been happily just randomly "reading" it and asking questions. If you're concerned over a younger child learning about the reproductive system, you may want to buy something else, or stay close while the browse, but I find it's been a great way to kind of breech that topic on a nice scientific level (in other words talking about the differences, even seeing how women carry a baby, but not going into details about how babies are actually made... not ready for that talk just yet). Lots of pictures, a good amount of information without being too technical and advanced. I dig it. Well worth the $5 I paid for a used copy.
